Plastic Pyrolysis Oil (PPO)

Plastic Pyrolysis Oil (PPO) is produced by breaking down plastic waste at high temperatures through a process called pyrolysis. This process does not require pre-sorting the plastic waste, and it can utilize a variety of plastics such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and polypropylene (PP). PPO has high energy content and can be used as a fuel substitute for diesel engines and fossil fuels like furnace oil (FO) and light diesel oil (LDO).

PPO has a low calorific value of 7394–8946 cal/g, higher sulfur content than diesel, a lower flash point than diesel, and a lower cetane index than diesel, making it suitable for blending with heavier oils and high sulfur oils.
